Hi my name is Hayden Law. I am the owner of Spik and Span NZ. Just to let you know a little about myself. I have been building the Spik and Span business for sometime now. I work very hard at making sure my customers are fully satisfied with the product and the service that they receive. I am a Qualified Volunteer Firefighter locally in the Kaiapoi brigade. This is a passion of mine and something that gives me great pleasure in being able to help other people in times of need.

Spik and Span is a NZ owned company based in Kaiapoi and supplying nationwide in New Zealand.

We specialise in cleaners and moss kill products that are environmentally friendly.

After repeated enquiries by many customers for a safe economical household cleaner we decided to create a product to meet these needs.

How did Spik and Span come about?

 

Well back around three years ago I was around visiting a friend here in Christchurch and for some bizarre reason we got on to talking about gardening. WHAT!!! Yeah I know. Now no offence to people that love gardening. But we are two young blokes and we both agree that we just have no interest in spending time pulling weeds and cleaning up around the house in the weekends. As we both were on the eve of purchasing our first homes, we were joking around saying we would just buy a property with concrete everywhere and that would be so easy to look after.

 

 

Well if you have a look at my photo, you may notice the clean looking weatherboards behind me. Well this is an exterior wall of my first home and when I brought the house that very wall was covered in absolute mucky looking moss and lichen.

 

 

So me being me, got terribly domesticated one weekend and decided I was going to clean it off. Now I never new that moss mould products even were available at the time so I hired a water blaster. Blast it off. She’ll be right. NO!! That didn’t work. So I found a product at the local handyman store and it guaranteed fast and effective results on moss and mould etc. One week later it was still there. It looked as though nothing had changed. What a waste of time and money I thought. Well by pure luck  I meet a guy about 3 months later in Auckland. He was into these sorts of things and gave me some contacts and advice and here we are. I have created my own unique product that really works with real results.
